Thank you for your interest and for the honor of being considered to help you care for your pet.
We are a by-appointment only practice. Please call our office to set up an appointment so that we can discuss your needs and determine the best way to help you. We cannot accept walk-in clients and we do not provide emergency care or surgical services.
Your first appointment will be comprehensive and can take up to two hours. Dr. Rimar will perform a full Western examination of your pet along with an extensive TCVM examination. She will feel the pulses for your pet’s five main systems. Remember, unlike your personal Acupuncturist, Dr. Rimar must determine your pet’s physical and energetic health without any verbal input.
Dr. Rimar will work with our staff to create a treatment plan for your pet. We understand that everyone has lifestyle and financial considerations; we will work with you to create the best possible way to work together for your pet’s health. You can read more about what to expect from our Alternative Care Services page.
Our clinic is designed to be a very low-stress environment. We ask that you plan enough time to arrive feeling unrushed and unhurried. We also ask that you lower cellphone’s ringtone.
You will stay with your pet throughout your visit.
The more you can lovingly focus on your pet and allow the distractions of everyday life to take a back seat, the more comfortable your pet will be.
We ask that you bring the following to your appointment:
A list of current medications and their dosages
Any recent bloodwork or x-rays if appropriate
Your pet in a carrier or on a leash
When You Arrive
When you arrive, please park in the parking lot in front of our building – it’s for you! Please arrive 15 minutes early for your first appointment if possible. We have a very comfortable waiting room with Wifi Access for our clients. Our office is also wheelchair accessible for those needing the extra room for maneuverability.
Payment for services is expected when those services are provided. We also caution clients that Florida Law prohibits us from taking back medications and herbs once they have been dispensed. If you have concerns or need to budget, we are happy to help you determine priorities for your pet and you are welcome to visit without your pet to pick up medications as your budget allows. Again though, please call to ensure someone will be at the practice to fulfill your order.
If you need to reschedule an appointment, please give us 48 hour notice if possible. Not showing up for your appointment or last minute cancellations can result in charges. We understand that “life happens”; we have limited available appointments so we appreciate your willingness to work with us so everyone can benefit.
