The state-wide work of the Sierra Club Florida is directed by an Executive Committee of 7 members, who are elected for two-year terms in the fall. The Florida Sierra Club Executive Committee meets quarterly with leaders from the 16 Groups to discuss and make decisions on issues of importance across the state.
The day to day work of Sierra Club in Florida is handled at the local level by the 16 Groups who work with committees of volunteers and meet locally to discuss issues in their community. There are groups in large cities, like Tampa, Miami, and Tallahassee, and there are groups in more rural areas that span counties.
