Excellent new restaurant in St Pete's Edge district! Forget better known places nearby. The German Knoodle is fresh, organic, and vegetarian and vegan friendly, but also offers meat-eaters their classic German wursts (sausages) along with excellent service in a lovely setting. Great paninis and salads on the menu, too, for next visit. Excellent and affordable wines and beers. I had the vegan mushroom sausage--outstanding-- served with delicious sauerkraut and fries; one friend had the vegan curry sausage, also outstanding; another friend had the weiswurst (white meat sausage). We all enjoyed our wines (ranging from pinot noirs to malbec to classic Reisling). The place is a gem awaiting discovery. Check it out!
