John and Patti Farese opened the doors of Farese Physical Therapy Center in 1992 to provide the residents of St. Petersburg quality physical and hand therapy services in an outpatient setting with the intent to transform people’s lives by restoring and improving their motion, function, and quality of life. Our physical therapists use both a hands-on approach to work on mechanical problems and an educational component to ensure positive outcomes. We are a private practice clinic providing the personal service you might not find with a chain clinic.
We have a comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, surgical techniques, and post-operative programs, and thus, the clinical expertise to effectively manage injuries and musculoskeletal conditions, as well as instruct you in preventative techniques. Physical Therapy is cost-effective and will provide you with treatment in the short term and knowledge to achieve lifelong wellness. We work with your doctor and your insurance to allow you to concentrate on getting well.
Direct Access
Do I need a prescription from my doctor to receive Physical Therapy or Certified Hand Therapy services? Florida recognizes Direct Access that allows patients to be evaluated and treated by a Licensed Physical Therapist for up to 21 days before a prescription is required. However, Medicare and some private insurance companies require a physician’s prescription for reimbursement purposes.
Testimonials
"I will say up front that posting reviews is not something I normally do. However, my experience at Farese Physical Therapy was extraordinary.
The open treatment area and people working and talking together makes the experience warm and inviting. From the moment you walk in and Betty greets you, you feel relaxed and at ease. If only every medical office was like this. My heartfelt thanks to everyone!"
