Compass Vacation Rentals
Isla del Sol ~ St Petersburg, FL
As the premier vacation rental company on Isla del Sol, Compass Vacation Rentals has been making Florida vacations memorable since 1978. You'll find us in the Shoppers Village on the Bayway, a quaint island plaza.
Surrounded by Boca Ciega Bay, Isla del Sol is a tropical barrier island nestled between the southernmost tip of St. Petersburg and St. Pete Beach, FL. The island is just minutes from the warm, turquoise waters and white sand beaches on the Gulf of Mexico, Fort DeSoto Park and North Beach, chosen by "Dr. Beach" as one of America's top beaches.
Whether it's you, your family, or friends visiting Isla, our tastefully furnished one or two bedroom privately owned condos will be your home away from home. Each one has either a spectacular bay front view or lush island view and is equipped with all the comforts and conveniences needed for a fabulous Florida vacation.
Countless activities are available for both the young and young-at-heart. Enjoy the area's walking and biking trails, fishing, swimming, golfing, boating, sight-seeing trips, nightlife, casino cruises, sunset cruises, watercraft rentals and so much more. Hop on board the Suncoast Beach Trolley at the Don CeSar, the infamous "Pink Palace" on St. Pete Beach, and spend the day exploring and touring Florida's Gulf beaches. All of which are easily accessible at every stop. Treat yourself or the family to the "catch of the day" at one of the many beachfront restaurants or take a break from the sun and sand and peruse the unique shops and numerous tourist attractions up and down our beautiful coastline. If theme park adventures are what you had in mind, Busch Gardens is a short 45 minute drive from the island or Walt Disney World, Sea World and Universal Studios are all less than 2 hours away.
Don’t pass up the chance to shop, dine and explore downtown St. Petersburg during your stay. Sundial, the city’s newest endeavor located in the heart of downtown, will draw you in with its special collection of shops, restaurants, spas, nightlife and entertainment found only in the Tampa Bay area. The place “to be” and “be seen” in downtown St. Pete is Beach Drive. Teeming with arts and culture, the unparalleled Chihuly Collection is just one of many diverse galleries along Beach Drive and the superb "al fresco" dining at one of the many upscale restaurants is a must. St. Pete’s picturesque waterfront is also home to the world-class Dali Museum, renowned Museum of Fine Arts, Mahaffey Theater, Florida Orchestra and over 1,000 special events and festivals each year.
For visiting sports fans, the choice is endless. Tropicana Field home of the Tampa Bay Rays is a short 15 minute drive from Isla or just north on Interstate 275 is Raymond James Stadium and Amalie Arena home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Lightning. The Tampa Bay area is also home to the Rowdies of the North American Soccer League, minor league baseball and MLB Spring Training.
So pack your bags and don't forget your flip flops and sunscreen ~ it's vacation time!
We want to welcome you back year after year for Fun in the Sun on Isla del Sol!
